Huetamo is a municipality located in the Michoacan state of Mexico. It is located in the Sierra Madre del Sur mountain range and is bordered by the states of Guerrero and Mexico. It covers an area of about 1,641 km2 (633 sq mi). Huetamo has a population of nearly 58,000 people as of the 2010 census. It is known for its wide variety of natural attractions and its traditional agricultural production such as coffee, maize, and beans. It also has many rivers, hot springs, and caves. Popular attractions include the El Chorrillo hot springs, the El Alto waterfall, and the La Estrella cave. The best way to get to Huetamo District in Michoacán is by car. The district is located around 116 miles (186 km) away from Mexico City and can be reached via the federal highway 15. If travelling from the city of Morelia, the district is located around 111 miles (178 km) away and can also be reached via the federal highway 15. Alternatively, you can take a bus from either Mexico City or Morelia to get to Huetamo District.

3. The ruins of San Pantaleón: This 17th-century Spanish monastery is located near Huetamo. It features several architectural features from the era, including a church and a number of buildings made from brick and stone.
4. The Pyramid of Malinga: This ancient pyramid is located near Huetamo and is believed to have been built by the Purépecha people in the 16th century. It is a pyramid-shaped structure made from stones, and has several altars and sculptures.
